April V. Prillaman

President 

April Prillaman, has over 25 years of acquisitions and contracts experience as a Contracting Officer with the federal government and private industry.  April holds a BA in Communications from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ and an MBA from Averett University in Danville, VA.   April lives in Washington, DC, with her daughter.  She is a native Washingtonian and loves all things DC.  She loves to read, bowl, golf and travel. 

Ashley Prillaman

 Vice President

Ashley Prillaman is an alumna of Spelman College and is currently working towards her received her masters from Trinity Washington University in Education Leadership. Her interest in education began in 2019 when she began completing her two year commitment as a City Year AmeriCorps Member. During this time, she learned about the inequalities in the school system. Inspired by this experience, Ashley aspires to pursue a career in non-profit education. When she is not busy working on College Snack Pack, she enjoys baking, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.  


Janelle Suggs 

Secretary  

Janelle has more than 15 years of project management experience in nonprofit, higher education, and government agencies. Janelle brings a unique and creative strategic approach to A & A Giving with a Purpose Foundation. Janelle graduated from Morgan State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and then went on to obtain an MBA from the University of Baltimore.


Terri Kershaw Buck

 Recording Secretary 

Terri Kershaw Buck serves as the Ethics Counselor, at the Department of Interior, Washington, DC.  She is a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. Metro-Washington DC Chapter.  An energetic advocate for innovation and strategy for the companies and organizations where she serves. She is retired United States Navy. 

Tonia Butler-Kinsey

  Treasurer

Tonia Butler Kinsey is an accomplished Acquisitions Team Chief in the Federal Government with more than 25 years’ experience leading and inspiring diverse teams to meet mission requirements.  In addition, Mrs. Butler Kinsey is a Partner of ART Properties, a real estate investment company. She has an extensive background in both government and industry where she has demonstrated strong leadership, organizational, and management proficiencies.  Mrs. Butler Kinsey’s profound desire to support her community are exhibited in her more than 35 years of experience volunteering, fundraising, consulting, and providing vital support to private and public organizations aiding in achieving their outreach goals.  Mrs. Butler Kinsey holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and is a Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) through the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP). 

Robbyn Coleman

 Financial Secretary 

Mrs. Coleman is currently a Contracts Manager for Grant Thornton LLP.  Prior to that she spent 13 years at Washington Cable Supply, Inc. as a commercial contracts administrator, managing the sale and transport of fiber optic and electrical cable to utility and cable companies on the east coast. In addition, she was the network administrator for the Lanham, Maryland operations.  Robbyn holds a Bachelors of Arts (BA) in Business from University of Maryland, a Masters of Science (MS) degree in Acquisitions and Contract Management from Florida Institute of Technology, and a Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) certificate. 

D'aLon Talley

Sergeant At Arms 

D'aLon is an IT Professional with over 35 years experience in government and private sector companies. She holds a Bachelor's of Science Business Information Systems from University of Phoenix. She has a love for helping others; in her free time she enjoys sports, traveling, IT, shopping, and mentoring. Her objective is to uplift, guide, and motivate students towards achieving a degree. She is truly happy to lend her support to the next generation of go getters while in college providing a helping hand when needed.
